Food Sensitivity Testing
What is a Food Sensitivity?
Food sensitivities are delayed inflammatory reactions by our bodies when exposed to certain foods that we eat. Food sensitivities involve the immune system producing IgG or IgA antibodies, whereas food allergies are immediate reactions to foods and involve IgE antibody production when exposed to an allergen.
Reactions to food sensitivities typically involve damage to the gut lining, and symptoms that are more general and vague - and more difficult to pick up on - than food allergies. Some examples of what symptoms someone might exhibit from a food sensitivity are:
stiff, swollen joints
upper respiratory issues/asthma
Because food sensitivities are delayed reactions, they are more difficult to accurately diagnose via elimination diets. Food sensitivity testing has gotten more reliable in recent years, and the company that we use, Vibrant, has a proprietary microchip technology that allows for higher sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy than other test methods.
Food Zoomer Tests
Traditional food sensitivity testing tests complete proteins or extracts to measure reactivity to certain foods, but are difficult to rely on for diagnosis of food sensitivities. Less than 50% of the amino acids in complete proteins are exposed for antibodies to bind to- so even if your body reacts to foods in your body as they are digested, those reactions may not show up on tests.
Vibrant Wellness is able to "zoom" in to the peptide level to test for antibody reactions. These peptides are what our bodies are actually exposed to during our digestive process, making these tests highly accurate.
Vibrant Wellness currently 9 different food Zoomer tests- please click on each of the images below to learn more about specific tests.
When you purchase the Food Zoomer tests in bundles of 4 or more, Vibrant Wellness also allows you to add on a 96 Food Sensitivity test or Neural Zoomer test at no additional charge. Click the images below to learn more about each of these tests.
You also get to add an additional test at no additional cost!

Each lab test purchase includes one 45-minute consultation with Katie to review your results and help to implement dietary changes that may be required based upon your results. Eliminating certain foods from your diet can be a challenge and will require some adjustments; therefore, additional follow-up appointments may be required in order for you to achieve optimal wellness.
Once you place your order, Katie will be in touch to confirm your order and which zoomers you would like to purchase, and to get your lab kit to you and explain next steps. Once the lab receives your sample, test results are typically available in 7-10 days, depending on the test. Due to expenses incurred from the lab, after orders are placed and confirmed, no refunds are possible. Vibrant is contracted with several lab companies for a flat rate lab draw; if one of the contracted labs is not available in your area, you may be responsible for an additional lab draw fee at the lab.
