6 Segments for Whole Body Health

Any way you slice it up, each component of life and health are interconnected to make up your best you!

Friends, I am SO excited to unveil something that has been in the works… well truly since I launched this nutrition practice back in 2018! Those of you who have worked with me privately, or even attended one of my group classes, know that I don’t talk about nutrition in isolation. You’ve heard me say it once, and you’ll keep hearing me say it – our bodies are a system of systems. If one system or component is out of balance, it throws everything else out of balance as well.

To help better communicate this point as you are on your own health journey, I have created (with some design help and input from my awesome family, friends, and clients!) an image that encompasses this mindset.

Ta-da! When looking at this image, I want you to keep something in mind:

  1. The outer rind of this lemon represents your whole health. Imagine that the rind is held up and supported by the segment underneath it – if that segment is smaller or larger than it was created to be, that part of your health becomes asymmetrical.

We are going to be working our way around this lemon over the next few weeks to better understand what all each segment encompasses, and to give you some key action items to improve your health.

For now, I want you to take a look at this lemon and reflect on your own health! If your health were represented by a slice of lemon, what would it look like? Would it be round and in balance? Is one area of your health unbalanced from the rest? That will help you to identify where you should focus your efforts in your health journey. If you need help with which steps to take first, you know I am always here to help you in any way that I can.
